Located in the heart of central Connecticut’s world-class aerospace alley, Aqua Blasting is the one stop shop for all your metal surface treatment needs. We are a service oriented company with a forty-year long track record of growth and success in our industry. We are also a member of the Aerospace Components Manufacturers (ACM), a consortium of Connecticut-based aerospace companies dedicated to producing components of the highest quality, on time, and at competitive prices. Another of our professional affiliations is the Connecticut Business and Industry Association (CBIA), the largest business association in the state. Our mission is to build a close working relationship with each of our customers and to achieve excellence in all of our endeavors.
As a demonstration of our ongoing commitment to quality and engineered processes, we have earned numerous aerospace and quality management certifications, including Nadcap AC7004. We are also certified as an FAA Repair Station (QUGR412L) and are licensed by the United States ATF, holding a Federal Firearms License. Decades of aerospace experience have helped us to earn numerous process approvals from our large customer base. Our well-equipped facility houses a wide array of automated and specialized equipment, giving us the ability to process parts as small as one inch to over twenty feet in length.

Aqua Blasting Corp. founded in Bloomfield, CT
1974
Added capacity to handle sheet metal materials, awarded contracts by gun manufacturers and law enforcement industries
1977
Business expanded to meet demand in the industrial sector from foundries, pattern houses, general machine shops, steel fabricators, non-flight hardware, and power generation equipment (ground turbines)
1985
Hired Victoria Stavola as Chief Financial Officer and head of Quality Assurance
1988
Implementation of advanced Quality Assurance processes including ISO certification, process documentation, and cost accounting measures
1990
Awarded certification as an authorized FAA repair station. Introduced aerospace shot peening and awarded contracts by General Electric for overhaul and repair
1994
Performed extensive restoration work on the military jets at the New England Air Museum
1995
Awarded numerous contracts in the defense industry, including DOD shot peening of miscellaneous parts, ground-style engines, static parts, and rotating parts. Additional work on General Electric gas turbine components
1996
Approved as an aerospace contractor by Hamilton Sundstrand for AMS2430 (automatic shot peening), AMS13165, and MIL-S13165 (shot peening of metal parts)

Compliance with new Pratt & Whitney frozen processes added, including 4692
2007
Surface treatment of turbine engine spare parts for the Air Force. Contracted by General Electric for rotating parts, disks, rotors, and vane assemblies, including P11TF4 (wet blast), and P11TF5 (dry blast). Wet blast of GE fasteners and screws
